September's Summertime Close ... A La Quercyland ...
@Suldog: I love the early morning mists, too -- and around here this is the best time of year for them. Right there is a large 'source' or natural spring that belongs to our neighbor -- it's almost completely hidden by trees, but we can just see it peeking out.
@Kimberly: End of summer melancholy is right! Can't believe next week is the Equinox -- which means that in a few more weeks the dreaded you-know-what Season is upon us!
Gorgeous photos, Broad, and I know just what you mean about the end of summer. I'm lucky enough to like all the seasons, providing they show off their differences and don't just give us more rain.... Safe journey home soon.
I love early morning mist, so was especially taken by that shot. Nice!
ReplyDeleteG'day Broad. Lovely photos.Take care. Liz...
ReplyDeleteThese are so lovely. Breaking my heart a little that fall is coming. End-of-summer melancholy.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, Broad. They so reflect the bittersweet nature of the end of summer!
ReplyDelete@Perpetua: I love 4 distinct seasons, too -- rather difficult where we live in England where there seem to be only two: cold and not so cold!
ReplyDelete@Kathy: Bittersweet is definitely the right word. Thanks, Kathy...
