Here I am sunny France, safely arrived without a hitch and pictures at the ready. But I am totally frustrated trying to figure out how to upload them using my little Android tablet...:-(
Maybe I will try again...
It all seems like the Black Arts to me...I can't even manage to shift photographs from the comouter where the disc drawer is stuck to the computer where it isn't...
Good luck! I expect someone among your readers will know and tell you, though...
Hello: Luddites that we are, we are completely unable to be of any technological assistance. But, we are thrilled that you have arrived safely. Bonnes Vacances!!!
Hi Broad, Pleased to hear that you've arrived safely and your updated profile has arrived with you!
Sorry that I can't be of any help with your tablet. I allowed my 'man' to persuade me that I didn't need one. Next time I'll take my daughter shopping with me instead.
Rhiannon always has at least ten good reasons why money should be spent and almost anything bought! Especially, it has to be said, if the money is mine or better still her father's!!!
Enjoy your time in France. Are we to see any more renovation pics .... when you've learned to upload?
The weather has been cooprating very nicely, indeed. The cycle here tends to be temperatures in the low 70s/20s getting progressively warmer day by day until one or two days in th mid 90's/30s ending with thunderstorms followed by the cycle starting over again. Thanks for the positive feedback on the profile!
I must admit to missing my laptop, but it was nice not to have to lug it onto the plane. If this would just upload the pictures and if I could figure out how I was once able to cut and past from my word processing program into blogger I would be a very happy camper!
So glad you are in France at last, a few technical problems are as nothing compared with the difficulties you have faced in finally getting your passport sorted and getting to France. I'm sure it will be sorted soon. J.
Glad to hear you've safely arrived in France and can enjoy time in the Lot. Know nothing about tablets--I work with a laptop but I think someone told me you may have to upload them to picasa or similar storage [via laptop or pc] and then you can draw them down onto you tablet from the internet storage you put them in.
Glad you've made it finally, Broad, but sorry about the uploading hitch. I have zero experience of working with a tablet, so can't help, I'm afraid. Love the new profile photo.:-)
Ah, if I was you I'd enjoy some French food and wine and save the technical stuff for later, like for instance, a day when you are sitting inside watching the rain in England. Although we have, in fact, had 3 nice days here. The weather is due to break tomorrow of course, not too dramatically I hope!
Glad you arrived chez vous, en france. As for Andriods, I have no idea how those little things work. They are supposed to help you save time, and better communicate. Yours, I take it, is being utterly unreasonable in these matters. Bon chance!
G'day Broad. Glad you arrived in France ok. Wish I could help with the photos, but I am not much good with things like that.Enjoy the nice weather. Take care. Liz...
You should be able to upload them as you usually would through your tablet's web browser (you'll need to remember where you saved them, of course). If you use picasa for online storage you can always use the picasa app (you can get it from the play store for free), and if you don't use picasa most of the other online photo storage services have free apps as well, just check the store.
You may have to copy the pictures over to internal storage before you can upload them. Some applications can't see your SD card reader for some reason, but putting the files on the internal drive sorts that out.
Thank you so much for your advice. I have not yet downloaded Picasa, but will be trying to do that later today. So much I wish I'd seen to when I had the laptop!
Dear Broad, it seems that right now you are experiencing one problem after another. I hope you are taking deep breaths, drinking your favorite beverage, putting your feet up on a hassock or footstool and chilling out! Peace.
Glad you made it to France in the end !! I wouldn't know where to start with your technology problem, except that I would probably sit down with a glass of wine and then it wouldn't seem so bad that I couldn't get it to work !!
I'm finding this a very interesting one to understand and the answer doesn't look promising for uploading pictures unless I use a normal Windows laptop and use a friend's computer -- which I may do from time to time. I have, however discoveed that I can post from my e-mail. Time for an ice cold frozen glass of rose!
You certainly weren't waiting for me to help you out, I hope. I'm a troglodyte, a neanderthal of technology, a Luddite and just a wee bit proud of my ignorance (which is really dumb, but, hey, I;m ignorant!)
Is it even possible to download them? I know I can't do it with my iPad, I need some intermediary device, like my laptop to do it.
ReplyDeleteI suspect that I may need an ontermediaryn device as well. ...

It looks as if that might be the case. I do hope it is possible else I will be very a frustrated blogger!

DeleteI am so happy that you have eventually made it. I only have a laptop so my knowledge is useless to you!! Enjoy the weather, Diane

ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right, Janice. It is nice to have only a few non-urgent techie problems to be frustrated about!
DeleteGlad to hear you've safely arrived in France and can enjoy time in the Lot.

I think the Picasa route might be he way. I ma annoyed with myself for not trying it before I got here...

ReplyDeletePerpetua, I was counting on you to have the answer!!! ;-) Glad you like the picture!

Good advice, Jenny and for the most part I've been taking it, too!
DeleteWish I could talk you through it, but I'm hopeless about these things. So I'll just wait patiently for your pictures.
ReplyDelete"Patiently" what a great word!
DeleteSuggestion: Tell your provider that you want to spend loads of money, and you will manage it.
ReplyDeleteOther suggestion: Just have a nice time and tell us about it when you get back.
Tom, you always give the best advice!
DeleteSo happy for you!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy.
Thankyou so much, Rosaria!

ReplyDeleteWell it sure is little -- and light! I'll be so proud when I figure out it's 'little ways'!

DeleteThanks ok I'll wait. I'm very patient. Done yet? How bout now? now?
ReplyDeleteExactly, Donna, exactly!
DeleteHope you've got it figured out by now. No use asking me I'm afraid, I don't have an Android tablet. Just keep trying is my motto.
ReplyDeleteGood motto and I'm doing just that -- in a minute! Just checked out your blog and it's a good one and fun, too -- so I've joined...

ReplyDeleteThe rose is very cold and very divine! Reading you books too :-)
