Blogging from 'ABroad' about many of the different issues that affect the international community at home and abroad in the hope that this will encourage understanding and tolerance.
Brilliant, Broad! I too love this one. I first learned it at school many, many years ago, taught to me by my German teacher. :-) I'm still mulling your last post about Advent which kick-started my own post on the subject, so thanks again.
Another morning, another smile, brought about by another great post. Thanks Jx
Thank you, Broad - one of my favourites as well, and I, too, learned it at school (from the old hymn book with the title 'Songs of Praise', long before the tv programme with that title!) Later in life I actually sang the soprano solo part in a performance of Bach's Cantata 'Wachet Auf' - a great thrill. It's been in the background to my preparations for an Advent course in our parish, open to all - Church, Chapel or neither - starting this evening. I really must learn how to blog asap - and how to get YouTube clips especially! Have a blessed Advent.
Lovely, really puts you in the spirit of the season. Thanks for sharing.
Dear Broad, this is the first time I've heard this Advent music, but it carries with it the hope that we experience in this liturgical season that all our heartwishes will be fulfilled within us. Thank you so much for sharing this video. Peace.
Very stately. Very German. . .Thanks!
oh I love it! and I have been thinking about advent not being Christmas ..
Receiving comments is a joy and I thank you all for taking the trouble and showing your interest. Makes me feel all gooey and stuff!
